A new look and an up-to-date navigation ... but not only! The new website of IFOS (International Federation of ORL Societies) becomes a key part of a strategy built around 3 essential missions: knowledge dissemination, humanitarian support and medical innovation.

A collaborative content management to share practices and more!

IFOS brings together associations from all over the world - 118 countries. The new website offers its members the possibility to publish their events by themselves.  By the end of the year, a platform will be available to match requests and offers from volunteers. An international advisory board will be be responsible for online selection and approval.

To reach this enhancement, Colloquium combined an advanced access management system with simple and collaborative publishing tools.

The power of MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) to help knowledge dissemination

One of the main issue of the new website was the creation of a global ENT data library. As a federation, IFOS (with the help of Colloquium) wanted to provide its national members with an Open Text Book platform enabling them to register the medical content they consider relevant. Considering database indexing - a key element in the medical sector - the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) classification system has been chosen. This open tool from the NLM (National Library of Medicine) offers the possibility to integrate and index medical databases, including the one of PubMed.

Design and methods to increase commitment

Offering a beautiful design and intuitive navigation was essential for IFOS, as the website should reflect the institution image and lead to a collaborative dynamic. The website and its back office are simple and intuitive to encourage a maximum of professionals to consult and contribute.

To achieve this result, Colloquium works on the basis of an agile method by progressively defining the project with its clients and using interactive mock-up which allow to visualize the project before web development.
