Practical guide to DATADOCK referencing for associations

For several months now, Datadock registration has been on the minds of professional associations. After all, many of you offer continuing training courses!

What is Datadock referencing for?

By law, continuing education funders are responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality of the training organizations they work with. Datadock registration of training organizations is in line with this objective, as it enables :

  • prove that you comply with statutory quality requirements
  • and that your training course is "suitable" for inclusion in the reference catalogs of training services, i.e. funding bodies.

Who's concerned?

ALL training organizations, without exception.
If your training organization is already certified, it must still respond to the 21 indicators, but is not obliged to submit proof.

Is Datadock accreditation compulsory? NO, but without this accreditation there is a risk that some of your participants will be refused funding. Bear in mind, however, that funders are free to decide whether or not to include a training course from a Datadock-certified organization in their catalog.

What does Datadock assess?

21 criteria are evaluated. These criteria focus on 6 main elements:

  • Training objectives and their adaptation to the target audience
  • Adapting intake, pedagogical follow-up and assessment systems to trainee populations
  • Matching teaching, technical and supervisory resources to the training offering
  • Professional qualifications and ongoing training for training staff
  • Conditions for informing the public about the training on offer, access times and results obtained.
  • Taking account of trainee feedback

Are checks carried out?

YES, of course! They are carried out by the funding bodies or by companies appointed by them. A report is produced at the end of the inspection, and you have 7 days to exercise your right of reply if necessary.

Several major changes are expected between now and 2022

In particular, the disappearance of Datadock in favor of a certification issued by France Compétences (or any other body with authority) for all training courses financed by the State, the Region or the CPF. This new certification will signal the end of Datadock, but little is yet known about the criteria for issuing it.
