Nearly 4,000 participants! Mission accomplished for the first edition of the Pari(s) Santé Femmes congress. Behind this success lies the collaboration of 21 learned societies and professional associations, and the in-depth work carried out over several years by the Collège National de Gynécologie Obstétrique Français.
The idea for this event germinated back in 2017 in the minds of CNGOF representatives Professors Israël Nisand, Bernard Hédon, Olivier Graesslin and Philippe Deruelle. After 42 editions, including several across France, the CNGOF congress was looking for a new dynamic. "The CNGOF used to organize its scientific days in December every year. We felt it was important to transform them to open them up to other medical and paramedical surgical specialties, which are also involved in women's health," explains Professor Israël Nisand, President of the CNGOF.
Thanks to a Yalta-like effort to convince some and reassure others, 21 learned societies and associations finally agreed to take up the "challenge" of Pari(s) Santé Femmes. Never before have so many disciplines been brought together in the same place, at the same time! For the event to be sustainable, each of the stakeholders must be able to benefit from it, whether in terms of the scientific program, image or benefits to society.
In terms of governance, an ad hoc board has been set up. Each learned society is equally represented by one of its members. The same applies to scientific topics (so strategic for a congress!). The Scientific Committee is made up of 2 members from each society. In all, nearly 160 sessions are organized, half of which are practical workshops designed to meet the specific needs of all caregivers.
In terms of communication, a name and image were specially created. Pari(s) Santé Femme was born. A name that reflects the fundamental desire to put patients' health at the heart of the project; but a name that also embodies the rather crazy "bet" it represents. "The idea of this event is to encourage exchanges between all those involved in the care of women, with the dual aim of improving the quality of care and enhancing the quality of life of women at all stages of life," points out Professor Israël Nisand.
In terms of organization and general coordination, COLLOQUIUM's teams have been working with the CNGOF since the project's inception in 2017, helping to build a win-win collaboration between all the learned societies.
" What a fabulous experience to have played such an active role in this project and to have contributed to its success! We were involved right from the start, and this has enabled us to be more relevant, whether in terms of marketing positioning or sales." Elvire de Chalus, Colloquium General Manager
3,937 registrants and 70 exhibitors - Aside from the numbers, the real success of the event lies in the partner companies, all of which have resigned for 2021, and the new associations that have come forward to join the movement!
