What if your website became an active relay for your association?

The new website of the International Federation of ENT Societies (IFOS) not only has a fresh new look and updated navigation, but also serves as an effective relay for a strategy built around 3 essential missions: the dissemination of knowledge, humanitarian support and medical innovation.

Collaborative content to serve initiatives in all 4 corners of the world
IFOS federates associations from all over the world - 118 countries. The new site, for example, enables members to publish their events independently. The site also offers a networking platform for ENT humanitarian projects. These calls for projects are approved by a committee that validates the online applications. To achieve these results, Colloquium has combined a system for managing access rights with simple, collaborative publishing tools.

The power of MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) to disseminate knowledge
For its new website, IFOS also wanted to create a qualified, globalized data library specialized in ENT. IFOS, in its role as a federation and with the support of Colloquium, is therefore providing national learned societies with an "Open Text Book" type platform, enabling them to index the medical content they deem relevant. The "MeSH" (Medical Subject Headings) * classification system has been chosen for indexing - an essential element in the medical sector. This open tool from the NLM (U.S. National Library of Medicine) offers the possibility of integrating and indexing medical databases, notably PubMed. Its partner in France is Inserm, which updates a French version of the classification.

Design, ergonomics and methods to generate support
Providing a visually pleasing site with intuitive navigation was a prerequisite for IFOS. Not just for the sake of the institution's image, but also to instill a collaborative dynamic. The site and its back-office are simple and intuitive to engage a maximum number of professionals to consult and contribute.
To achieve this result, Colloquium works on the basis of an agile method enabling it to progressively define the project with its clients, thanks to interactive mock-ups that enable it to visualize how the project will look before it is developed.

* MeSH is a standardized list of terms used for literature review in the biomedical field.
