The members' area, an effective ally for associations

Direct communication is a fundamental element in the relationship between an association and its members. Digital technology greatly facilitates this aspect! The creation of a member space (or "private space") is increasingly used by associations wishing to save their members time and maximize the resources they make available to them.

Advantage n°1 - Simplify your members' administrative procedures
Administrative procedures are quicker and smoother, and provide better follow-up. A membership fee is due, a proxy form needs to be filled in for the next election, an invoice needs to be downloaded for accounting purposes... the member's area can meet all these needs. Simplifying the formalities for your members is a way of building loyalty! This is especially true for international associations, which can suffer from a lack of proximity to their members.

Advantage n°2 - Easily synchronize updates
You can link your member management tool (or CRM)* and your database to a member space on your website thanks to an API**, which is an interface that enables two websites or two software programs to communicate while synchronizing information. So you won't have to waste time updating all your management tools; the API will take care of it for you in real time!

Advantage n°3 - Enhance your content offering
A members' area is also a fantastic tool for providing your members with a wealth of resources they may not even be aware of. Access to journals, congress content, professional reference systems, directories, etc. - if your aim is to support your members in their day-to-day practices, the members' area is an invaluable tool. Another interesting point is that interaction between members can also be facilitated by messaging systems and group discussion threads, which will stimulate exchange and the feeling of belonging to a dynamic, unifying association.

WANT A MEMBERS' AREA FOR YOUR ASSOCIATION?
The advantages are numerous, and it's important to remember that members have access to digital services outside their professional lives, and that a requirement is also created when they join an association. It is therefore possible that the absence of digital services could become an obstacle to membership. You should be aware, however, that there are very affordable technologies available for setting up a members' area.
